 OUR HISTORY

Household of Faith Christian Fellowship Church (The House) was founded by Pastor Calvin and Lady Valerie Hooper in 2003.

While in the midst of the move, their faith was greatly tested.  Pastor Hooper was laid off from a job during the move while their new home was being constructed in Round Rock. This family of seven found themselves living in an extended stay hotel while they believed God for Pastor Calvin to get another job and enable them to complete the purchase of their new home.  For three months they lived there enduring the test.  They were faced with losing the home to another buyer, but through prayer and persistent faith, God worked everything out for their good according to Romans 8:28, and they moved into their home in November 2002.  They made a promise to use their house to the glory of God, and in June 2003 the Household of Faith was born in the home of Pastors Calvin and Valerie Hooper.

In the beginning the church consisted of Pastors Calvin and Valerie and their five children, Calvin II, Jeremy, Daisha, Vincent and Natasha. Bible Studies and all church services were in their home until the Lord opened a door for them to begin holding services at the Round Rock Public Library in the Fall of 2003.  As the ministry continued to grow, the Lord opened another door by providing a place they could call their own.  The church took a step of faith and relocated to a 1555 sq. ft. facility on Bratton Lane in the Pflugerville, TX area in October 2005.  A three year lease was signed, but due to the growth of the ministry, God gave them favor with the owner to allow them to move after a great relationship of only two years.  The church now resides in a 6800sq. ft facility in Round Rock, TX, and has plans to expand beyond that.  Greater things are ahead and many lives will be impacted as we continue to follow the vision God gave to Pastor Calvin Hooper.

The Household of Faith is a praying church that believes in the power of the Holy Spirit at work in the life of the believer and we believe in serving the needs of the community so that Christ is glorified.  Our desire is to be a multicultural, multiethnic ministry where lives are empowered through the uncompromised teaching of the Word of God, the love of God is experienced in a tangible way, and every member is equipped to live the Christian life and make a difference in the world we live in.
