Confident That God Will Move

Mar 27, 2026    Bishop Calvin M. Hooper

Reading: Psalm 27:1-3, 13-14; Ephesians 3:20

Devotional: Mature faith moves beyond "I don't have to know how" to "I know that God will move." This is settled confidence, an anchor dropped deep into God's character and promises. Like the boy flying a kite above the clouds, you may not always see what God is doing, but you feel the tug—His Word speaking to your heart, His peace in the midst of pressure, His strength when yours is depleted. David declared, "Though a host encamp against me, my heart will not fear." That's the faith mindset. It doesn't ignore the army; it sees beyond it to the God who defends. Today, resolve to trust God—not consider it, not contemplate it, but settle it in your heart. He is able to do immeasurably more than you can ask or imagine.

Reflection: What promise of God am I choosing to anchor my faith in today, regardless of what I see?

Closing Prayer: Lord, renew my mind and establish a faith mindset within me. Help me to bring every concern to You in prayer, guard my thoughts with Your truth, participate actively in Your purposes, trust You without needing all the answers, and rest confidently in Your faithfulness. Let my thinking be governed by faith, not fear. In Jesus' name, Amen.
