The Warning We Ignore

Reading: Daniel 4:1-18; Proverbs 16:18

Devotional: King Nebuchadnezzar received a clear warning from God through a troubling dream, yet he allowed an entire year to pass without change. How often do we receive divine warnings through Scripture, wise counsel, or the Holy Spirit's conviction, only to dismiss them? Pride convinces us we're fine as we are. Like the king who consulted everyone except the one who could truly help, we sometimes seek advice from sources that tell us what we want to hear rather than what we need to hear.

God's warnings are acts of mercy, opportunities to change course before consequences arrive. Today, ask yourself: What warning have I been ignoring? What area of pride needs addressing before God must address it for me?
