When Obedience Outweighs Experience

Reading: Luke 5:1-5
Devotional: Peter's expertise told him fishing was futile, yet he chose obedience over experience. How often do we allow past failures to silence God's present commands? Professional fishermen knew the rhythms of the sea, but they didn't know the Lord of creation stood before them. Your empty nets—those areas where effort produced nothing—are not disqualifications but classrooms. God often asks us to launch again precisely where we've failed before, not to shame us, but to demonstrate that His word carries authority our experience cannot match.
Today, identify one area where disappointment has made you resistant to trying again. What would "nevertheless, at Your word" look like in that situation?
