Becoming a Fountain of Refreshment

Devotional: In desert lands, a freshwater fountain means life. Your words can be that fountain—refreshing the weary, cleansing the wounded, and nourishing the hungry soul. Jesus said, "The words that I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life." When rooted deeply in communion with God, your speech becomes a life-giving stream. But James warns: a fountain cannot produce both fresh and bitter water. Inconsistent speech reveals heart issues that need God's healing touch.

Today, commit to speaking at least one sentence that refreshes someone—an encouragement, an affirmation, a blessing. Let your words be cool water to a thirsty soul, flowing from your daily time with the Lord.

Reflection Question: Who needs refreshing words from you today, and what will you say?
