The Weight You Were Never Meant to Carry

Devotional: God never designed you to bear burdens alone. When Scripture commands us to "cast all your anxiety on Him," the Greek word for "casting" implies a forceful throwing—not a gentle placing. This reveals God's desire for you to aggressively release what weighs you down. Many believers carry stress not because God is absent, but because they're attempting to manage responsibilities He never assigned them. Today, examine what you're carrying. Is it yours to bear, or have you picked up weights God intended to handle Himself?

Jesus invites the weary to come to Him—not to try harder, but to exchange burdens. His yoke is easy because He carries the heavy end. Stress increases when responsibility exceeds trust. Where have you stopped trusting and started striving?
