Peace in the Pressure

Devotional: Jesus promised tribulation in this world, yet offered peace in the same breath. This paradox reveals a profound truth: peace isn't the absence of pressure; it's the presence of God in the midst of it. The peace that guards your heart "surpasses all comprehension"—it defies logic and circumstances. When you pray with thanksgiving instead of anxiety, you activate a divine exchange. Your requests go up; God's peace comes down. Notice that Paul doesn't say problems disappear—he says peace will guard your heart and mind. This military term suggests a sentinel standing watch over your thoughts and emotions. Today, stop waiting for circumstances to change before you choose peace.

Let God's peace rule as the umpire of your heart, calling out thoughts that don't align with His promises. Peace returns when the loudest voice is God's.
