Living Guilt-Free in Christ

Feb 6, 2026    Bishop Calvin M. Hooper

Reading: Romans 8:1-4; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21

Devotional: "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Let that sink in. NO condemnation. Not "less condemnation" or "conditional condemnation"—NO condemnation. This is your new reality.

In Christ, you are not defined by your worst moment. You are not disqualified by your past. You are not measured by your performance. You stand righteous before God because Jesus transferred His righteousness to you. This is the great exchange: He became sin so you could become the righteousness of God.

Living guilt-free doesn't mean living carelessly—it means living confidently in God's grace. It means when you fall, you get back up quickly because you know you're still loved. It means you can be honest about your struggles because your identity isn't based on perfection. It means you can serve God from gratitude, not obligation.

Today, choose to walk in the freedom Christ purchased for you. Guilt pointed you to grace—now let grace lead you to glory.

Reflection: What would your life look like if you truly lived free from guilt? Take one step toward that freedom today.
